ILTER Information Management ascertains a continuously improved comparability of long-term ecological data from sites around the world, and to facilitate the exchange and preservation of these data. ILTER aims to deliver scientific information to scientists, policymakers, and the public. ILTER's activities are thus closely related to the management of long-term ecological and socio-ecological datasets and information, and efforts to encourage greater access to, and integration of, these data.
DEIMS, ILTER’s Repository for Research Sites and Dataset Documentation
DEIMS is a web portal where you can find information about ILTER sites. Not only ILTER, but also other global and European networks dealing with ecological long-term observation and experimentation are using DEIMS to document their sites. In addition to site documentation, datasets are also documented. Dataset documentation is primarily European, although any ILTER member network is welcome to use DEIMS for dataset documentation.
ILTER Site Categories
ILTER features a hierarchical design of its sites with an increasing number of facilities and decreasing complexity and instrumentation towards the bottom of the hierarchy.
